VITA
Over the course of over forty years, Bob has been active in the areas of Analytical Voltammetry, Electrochemical Impedance Spectroscopy (EIS), Corrosion, and general Electrochemistry. He pioneered the first commercial Electrochemical Impedance Spectroscopy software, and was active in specifying four generations of that successful product. He is the author of twenty scientific articles in the areas of electrochemistry and instrumentation, and has delivered scientific presentations worldwide. From August 2001 to March 2008 Bob was at Gamry Instruments, where he answered questions and advised on the uses of electrochemistry and Gamry products. He officially retired from Gamry in March 2008. Prior to starting the Research Solutions and Resources website, Bob was Senior Scientist for the Electrochemistry group of Princeton Applied Research Bob is an experienced teacher as well. He taught Analytical Chemistry, Electrochemistry, and Electronic Instrumentation at Lehigh University, where he also supervised two Ph.D. students. During his years in industry, he has participated in training sessions in Electrochemical Impedance (EIS), Corrosion, and Electrochemistry sponsored by Gamry Instruments, Princeton Applied Research, and the Federation of Societies for Coating Technology. He is a member of The Society for Electroanalytical Chemistry (SEAC) where he has served as a director (1995-2000). He is also a member of the American Chemical Society (ACS), The Electrochemical Society (ECS), and the International Society for Electrochemistry (ISE).
