"Fuel Cell Systems Explained" by Larminie & Dicks
The first edition of this book came out in 2000. This second edition (2003) keeps pace with this fast changing field. This book covers most of the main stream kinds of fuel cells in reasonable detail. There is a good amount of scientific detail, with references to the recent literature. It is a good introduction to the field.
